UK Investigatory Powers Bill
Written by Users Idea
Sunday, 27 December 2015
Cyber bullying and trolls are the thing of the 21st century, whereby I’m pretty sure you’ve seen many of these peeps trolling the internet, churning out nasty comments that would make a grown man cry. Well, it looks like the UK is prepping to push out a bill that would be targeted to terrorists, and future amendments can be used to curb cyber bullies and trolls alike.

Home Secretary Theresa May has proposed that this bill can be used as an extensive surveillance system and it can help tackle problems of cyber bullying and trolling too. Ultimately, her selling point is that once this bill is in effect, it will help protect your children from cyber bullies and trolls, whereby the police would be given the authority to identify both harassers and victims in the process.

Uke Tuner

I have always wanted a ukulele, as I find such musical instrument to be very desirable indeed. Furthermore, due to the fact that a ukulele is small and can be carried around easily, I’m sure it would be a joy lugging the ukulele around. Just recently, I found out that my best pal’s girlfriend bought a ukulele for him. According to my friend, his ukulele also includes a uke tuner which helps him tune his newly bought ukulele easily. The electronic ukulele tuner allows one to tune the ukulele at pinpoint precision, and it’s certainly a must-have accessory. Well, I sure hope to own my very own ukulele, and I’m in the midst of shopping for one actually.

China Alibaba Smashes Black Friday Sales Record
Written by Users Idea
Wednesday, 11 November 2015
I’m pretty sure most of us are accustomed to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, whereby in both days, we are spoilt with an unprecedented amount of crazy sales and value buys that are valid on those two special days only. Nevertheless, it looks like China too has their Black Friday, but it looks like China’s Black Friday is a record setting feat when compared to the US’ counterpart.

China celebrates their Black Friday on the November 11th, and their Black Friday is known as Single’s Day instead. And according to Alibaba’s Tmall, which is equivalent to Amazon, they reported a whopping sales of $11 billion on that particular day, which broke last year’s sales record of $8.97 billion. The number beat the entire US’ online sales for Thanksgiving and Black Friday combined. No wonder Alibaba could afford to hire Frank Underwood Kevin Spacey and James Bond Daniel Craig for their party!

US Regulators To Probe Google For Android Anti-Competitive Behavior
Written by Users Idea

This has become music to my ears! The previous anti-trust action by the US government is extremely shameful, as the anti-trust regulator settled with Google’s voluntary change to suit the anti-trust’s demands, which has brought in NO RESULTS AT ALL. And with imminent actions by their European and Russian anti-trust regulators, it looks like the US government wouldn’t want to lose out in shame for failing to investigate into the matter.

According to the FTC and US Justice Department, it looks like both have started an anti-trust investigation into Google’s Android operating system. According to US regulators, they have already launched the inquiry after conducting meetings with rival tech companies, which testified that Google limits their access to Android which favors their own apps. The regulators are looking into Google’s search and bundling of applications like Gmail, Chrome and Play, which singles out rival apps like Microsoft’s Outlook and Nokia’s Here map.

Home and Patio Decor Center
Written by Users Idea

Over the past 6 months or so, I have been planning to renovate my entire home, as I have been living here for the past 20 years now, and I feel that it is time to rejuvenate the entire home with a fresher modern outlook. In fact, I have drawn countless of proposed remodeling ideas, and just recently, I believe that I have found the perfect remodeling idea. My new home would be outfitted with a rather wooden interior, and my home furniture would have a rather rustic outlook too. The floor tiles will have wooden textures, and the toilet will boast a rather wooden feel as well. Surely, remodeling the entire home is just a small portion of the project, while outfitting it with appropriate home furniture is yet another major home remodeling step as well. After browsing the internet for a week now, it looks like Wicker Furniture | Home and Patio Decor Center can cater my home furniture needs. Basically, I’m searching for solid-wood furniture like teak or equivalent, and according to my friends, solid-wood furniture is extremely durable, and can be used for decades. In fact, a good friend of mine has a solid teak lounge chair at home, and he has been using it for 20 years now, with minimal wear and tear in sight. Well, I sure hope that my home remodeling project can take off soon, as I’m anxious to live in a brand new-rejuvenated home.

Worlds First All Electric Propulsion Satellite Starts Operations

Space propulsion has definitely been the center of discussion amongst NASA recently, as they are looking for the best space propulsion system available that can be used to power space crafts or satellites. Nevertheless, it looks like space propulsion has hit yet another milestone recently, with Boeing announcing their first satellite that would fully use electric propulsion.

Generally, the ABS-3A is a 4,300-pound telecommunications satellite and it would be used to provide - and Ku-band service to South America, the Middle East and Africa. The ABS-3A is not equipped with a tank of inertia gas for propulsion and orbit maintenance. Instead, it uses the Xenon Ion Propulsion System (XIPS), which then relies on its magnetic field to push ions around and generate thrust. The satellite will use 11 pounds of Xenon annually and has a 15-year operational life span.

Piano for Beginners
Written by Users Idea

My niece wanted to take up some music lessons, and my sister asked me for some advice on the type of musical instrument that she should opt for as a beginner. Since I do have experience in the musical field and I have been playing various musical instruments for the past couple of decades now, I quickly suggest that she should seriously take a closer look at piano for beginners. The piano is a simple music instrument which requires two hands to play, while the feet are mostly relaxed. But most importantly, the piano can provide a stepping stone for beginners to understand music, and it also helps beginner to quickly pick up these musical skills easily.

Third Generation Moto G
Written by Users Idea
Monday, 27 July 2015
Well, well, well, it looks like Motorola has been busy with their brand new spanking smartphone, and according to sources, they are indeed working hard on their third-generation Moto G which is due to be released into the market very soon. And I’m not sure whether this was intentional or not, but apparently, the smartphone’s specs have leaked out into the internet.

Generally, a Brazilian retailer has posted unboxing photos of this particular phone, and the Moto G is set to be a budget smartphone. The Moto G would be equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor (up from the current model's 1.2GHz chip), a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter and colorful shells. The smartphone also has 5-inch 720p screens, 16GB of storage, dual SIM slots and (in Brazil's case) digital TV tuning. Take a closer look at the third-generation Moto G.
